Northbound Shuffle

I’m headed up north where the cool wind blows
Maybe to the city where the neon glows
Goin’ where the women have them big blue eyes
Headed where the forest is jumbo size

I do the northbound shuffle

I’m gonna settle down with the wind and all

I’m goin’ where the river’s gonna freeze real hard
Headed to the land of the old North Star
Goin’ to the snow and the northern lights
Headed where the desert is well out of sight

I’m gonna settle down and try to survive

Maybe I’ll be going to the oceanside
Maybe I’ll go up to the mountains and hide
Maybe build myself a big log home
Go down to the city and get real stoned
